The flying fish robe, granted by the Ming Dynasty emperor to his officials, features designs resembling flying fish, hence its name. Flying fish robe ranks just below the dragon robe and is typically worn by higher-ranking individuals such as officials and cultured scholars, serving as a powerful symbol of honor and prestige.
This Hanfu was the highest-ranking attire gifted by the Emperor during the Ming Dynasty, second only to the emperor's dragon robe. It was a symbol of great honor, reserved for only a select few. Being bestowed with a "Mang Robe" was a mark of immense privilege, signifying future prosperity and the pinnacle of power. The appearance of the mang and dragon are quite similar, with the only distinction is claw—dragons have five fingers, while mangs have four.
This Hanfu features high density gold thread embroidery, with its body and various scenic decorations all crafted in golden silk. The design is majestic and imposing, with the mang's body wrapping around the shoulders, giving the upper body a powerful presence. The primary color is gold, complemented by purple, white, and red accents, adding a sense of calm, elegance, and subtle sophistication.
