During the Qin Dynasty, hanfu has an extra belt around the waist.—men typically used leather, while women favored silk. By the time of the Han Dynasty, the Chinese referred to themselves as Han ethnic group, and their attire as hanfu. Han style hanfu further emphasized it lithe and grace.
The blouse features a collar design inspired by the ancient brocade patterns, with Chinese characters embroidered to convey blessings such as "Peace and Joy"（平安喜乐） and "Success in All Things." （万事如意）The jacquard fabric incorporates motifs popular during the Han Dynasty, such as immortals, auspicious beasts, and jade bi discs. The sleeve design draws inspiration from the "Immortals and Auspicious Beasts Draw" brocade pattern preserved at the China National Silk Museum.
The skirt is also equally unique, crafted from a silky, water-blue jacquard fabric with an elegant drape. The golden patterns on the skirt are inspired by the "Ziziphus Jujube Motif" （茱萸纹样） embroidery found in the Han Dynasty relics at the Hunan Museum's Mawangdui collection. This design flawlessly recreates the essence of traditional Han Dynasty attire, making it a true work of art infused with history.
This design may result in the skirt of the hanfu grazing the floor, but there's no need to worry—this is an intentional feature of the style and part of its aesthetic charm.
Da Qiao was the eldest daughter of Qiao Guolao (乔国老), a prominent figure in Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. Renowned for her extraordinary beauty, she was one of the famous "Two Qiaos of Jiangdong," alongside her sister. She married Sun Ce and became known for both her beauty and intelligence.
